CHAIN OF ISLANDS: SEA OF FATE

There are hundreds of these Chain of Islands that reside north in the Sea of Fate. Here is one island:

The structures on this island are poorly managed. There is often boat and fishing equipment strewn about. Calm waters are found around much of the island.

Xifias, Chain of Islands, Sea of Fate

The name of this island means "swordfish." This island mainly specializes in fishing. It gets swordfish, lavraki, basking shark, oysters, mussels, and tuna. It is located about 40 miles northeast of Trofi, toward the north of the band of islands.

This village focuses on its boats, lines, and nets. The structures are poorly managed.

There are no formal taverns, bars, or inns. However, locals are very open to taking in guests and feeding them for modest costs. Here are those costs for a room/day with breakfast and dinner: low end (2 s pp), acceptable (3 s pp), and comfortable (5 s pp).


Rumors

• The island is frequented by mermaids. Some mermaids are gentle. Some mermaids are malicious.
• A large shark visits the island. It's so large, it gets fisherman thinking they need to get a bigger boat.
